US states where payday loans are legal

Below is a list of maximum loan amounts, APR and other terms throughout the US. This does not mean that all lenders in a selected state have these terms, but they cannot have fees and interest rates that are higher than those set by state laws.

  • Alabama - In AL you can take a loan up to $500 for max. term of 30 days, with APR up to 456%.
  • Alaska - In AK tha max. loan amount is $500 for max. term of 14 days, with APR up to 520%.
  • California - In CA tha max. loan amount is $300 for max. term of 31 days, with APR up to 459%.
  • Delaware - In DE tha max. loan amount is $1000 for max. term of 61 days, with APR up to 521%.
  • Florida - In FL tha max. loan amount is $500 for max. term of 31 days, with APR up to 419%.
  • Idaho - In ID tha max. loan amount is $1000.
  • Illinois - In IL tha max. loan amount is $1000 for max. term of 45 days, with APR up to 403%.
  • Indiana - In IN tha max. loan amount is $605 for max. term of 14 days, with APR up to 390%.
  • Iowa - In IA tha max. loan amount is $500 for max. term of 31 days, with APR up to 433%.
